Kronstadt
A bit to the west on the island of Kotlin in the Finnish Bay


This used to be a closed off city because the navy is stationed here.
Nadja accompanied me and Vlada (right) was the tour guide.



The air was filled with fluffy stuff from blossoming poplar trees (topol). I called it "summer snow". In this picture you can see them as white spots dropping down.





Since Peter the Great was a fan of Germany & Holland he gave German designations to Kronstadt, Peterhof und St. Petersburg.
